Mobile Scanner — Android handheld with slot-mounted USB barcode scanner running the Sovereign Shelf staff app. The everyday tool for binding tags, looking up stock, and running pick sessions.

Shipped as a turnkey device: phone, scanner, case-integrated mount, and the Sovereign Shelf app pre-installed in Lock Task kiosk mode. Boots into the staff app; an admin PIN unlocks system settings.

  • Kiosk mode: native Android Lock Task with Device Owner — no third-party kiosk app

  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi (customer LAN); paired with Bluetooth scanner-descriptor binding for slot-fill enforcement
  • Auth: QR-code device binding to store, PIN-gated staff login
